Roles & Responsibilities
  • The role will require the candidate to manage overall business development for IT Solution & Service sales in the country of responsibility.

  • Responsible for managing entire sales and marketing operations in the country of posting.
  • To guide and help local sales work force in building their skills for various sales activities like making quality presentations, handling customer objections, negotiation skills, etc.
  • Developing strategy, tactics, sales plans and profit targets.
  • Delivering sales by developing relationships with retail partners, managing all strategic alliances/partnerships, identifying and reporting on business opportunities in target markets.
  • Achieving targets for revenue, profitability and sales growth.

Skills & Experience
  • Overall 10+ experience in the industry with a minimum 6 years+ of experience in a Managerial/Leadership role in IT Sales.
  • Qualification: Post Graduate from a reputed Institution, preferable with a science background.
  • Proven IT Solutions & Services sales management experience, together with a good record of achieving targets.
  • Experience of managing multiple customers across geographies
  • Multi vendor / SI Program management experience
  • Good Networking across the Industry
  • Proven people leadership
  • Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, and both technical and non- technical, and the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals in a professional and service-oriented manner

INBOUND LOGISTICS MANAGER

INBOUND LOGISTICS MANAGER



REF: FIN - ILM - JANUARY 2012
Reporting to Senior Manager-Supply Chain Operations, the job holder will manage the company’s inbound logistics processes by ensuring timely delivery of material from the company’s suppliers to the company designated storage points in order to meet company requirements through efficient and effective metrics and monitoring tools.

Key Responsibilities

  •   Optimally manage clearing and forwarding processes as well as lead times from the country of collection to destination against agreed KPI’s.
  • Capture any costs arising from demurrage charges and penalty and allocate responsibility for recovery.
  • Supply risk management by ensuring all import shipments are marine covered.
  • Manage the PVoC expectations for Safaricom shipments and verify the inbound logistics invoice and forward to finance for payment.
  • Develop and review SLA’s between Safaricom and contracted clearing and forwarding partner on a monthly basis.
  • Implement and maintain inbound logistics policy master data for all equipment  to support the network roll out planning process.
  • Plan monthly shipment movements as per supplier promise dates to meet the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Manage channel use exceptions by ensuring adherence to channel use policy.
  • Conduct an OTIF performance evaluation of goods  delivery and manage handover to shipment turnaround time.
  • Effectively manage existing inbound logistics processes.
  • Development of world class standards in process through re-engineering of the existing inbound logistics processes and development of new processes.
  • To continuously evaluate oracle performance to support inbound logistics processes and if necessary design changes to cater for changing business needs.
  • Manage the selection, growth, development performance and motivation of staff in the section.
  • Produce accurate and timely reports in accordance with the Supply Chain Metrics framework.
 Minimum requirements
  • B. Com/Business/Economics or equivalent with at least 5 years experience in Supply Chain Function especially in Inbound Logistics or Clearing & Forwarding.
  • Additional professional qualification in Supply Chain will also be considered e.g. CSCP, CIPS, and CILT.
  • Computer literate, proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Oracle will be an added advantage.
  • Must demonstrate drive and result oriented.
  • Must have Sound Judgment and must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Reporting to the Director Resources, the job holder will facilitate the formulation and implementation of processes, procedures and strategies to enhance growth of the Employee Service Centre to maximize business value and to meet corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Establishing and leading the  HR shared service that focuses on HR administrative excellence.
  • Accountability for managing  HR information systems utilizing ORACLE and other platforms.
  • Responsible for Employee Relations Management in pursuit of an engaged and productive workforce.
  • Providing oversight and leadership in building an integrated wellness program for Safaricom.
  • Providing oversight and leadership of transactional service delivery, operational effectiveness, business process review, continuous improvement activities and staff coaching and development.
  • Ensuring that processes needed for the quality management system are established, implemented and maintained in accordance to ISO 9001 international Standards.
  • Providing leadership and direction to the support services section within the Resources division, by formulating, managing and directing dynamic interface processes with suppliers of non-core but essential services namely fleet management, hotel and travel services. 
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Over ten years experience in HR Management.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training, education and experience.
  • Be a seasoned HR manager with a  change management orientation.
  • Possess strong administrative skills with a flair for technological enhancements to transactional processing.
  • Experience in people management and leading a team.
  • Have considerable knowledge of labour relations.
  • Good negotiator commercially survey & aware.
  • Ability to develop & maintain effective relationships which yield results.
  • Good Knowledge of the trends, principles and practices of HRIS systems.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to operate integrated Oracle HR is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills with exception interpersonal and report writing skills.
