Sales Manager Job in Mombasa Kenya

A well established company is looking to recruit a Sales Manager for their new trading department dealing in fast moving hardware items.

To be considered for this position applicants will have a diploma or a degree in sales related fields or similar with a minimum of 3 years experience in hardware and construction industries.

He/she will have good communication skills, strong organizational, trouble-shooting, and problem solving skills. He/she will be proactive regarding market condition resolutions and able to prioritize, properly plan, and handle multitask work.

The position requires excellent organization & communication skills with the ability to work methodically & clear-mindedly to tight deadlines as a constructive member of an energized & dynamic team.

Proficiency in English is a must. Computer proficiency is an advantage. Problem solving & analytical skills are highly desirable and will be tested accordingly during the interview process. Candidates must have a disciplined character and eye for detail to meet the very exacting standards of our customers.

The Manager will report directly to the Director in charge of sales and marketing and work closely with the other Directors to ensure financial efficiency and effective operations of the entire business.

Within the framework of the Company’s objectives, missions and yearly strategic plans, the Manager’s key focus will include:

§  Smooth running of the sales and marketing department

§  Day to day supervision of the sales and marketing team

§  Maintaining customer satisfaction

§  Achieving sales targets.

§  Performance analysis, efficiency improvement

§  Providing strategic advice and coordination of the department

Key Performance Criteria

§  Achieving sales targets.

§  Profit improvement.

§  Marketing of products

§  Sales growth.

§  Service delivery commitment in volumes, deadlines, costs and quality compliance.

§  Correct team performance.

§  Compliance to company standards for product/service quality and marketing.

§  Effective management of budgets.

Key responsibilities include:

§  Manage all staff in the sales and marketing department and supervise their work on a day to day basis.

§  Maintain client satisfaction and meet their needs with a view to maintaining them.

§  Ensure that there exists good Client/staff relationship to boost Client satisfaction.

§  Attend to all Client needs immediately and effectively.

§  Take responsibility for any failure in the entire running of the department

Key Qualifications

§  A Degree or a Higher National Diploma or good educational background

§  At least 3 years experience in sales and marketing– especially hardware and construction industries

§  Computer literate and extremely proficient in Microsoft Word programs

§  Age 40 years or below.
